Your information should be handled with the same discipline as your sourcing requirement.

This Privacy Policy explains how IndusRhine collects, uses, stores and protects personal information and business documents submitted through this website.

Our approach

Collect less. Use it carefully. Keep the purpose clear.

IndusRhine is a business-to-business sourcing service. Most information we receive relates to business contacts, sourcing requirements and documents voluntarily provided by companies evaluating or using our services.

01

We do not sell personal information or sourcing documents.

02

Information is used for defined business and sourcing purposes.

03

Uploaded sourcing documents are intended to remain private and access-controlled.

01

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide directly, together with limited technical information generated when you use the website.

Contact and business information, such as your name, work email address, company name and company website.

Information about your sourcing requirement, including product, category, expected volume, sourcing timeline and other information included in your brief.

Files that you choose to upload, which may include specifications, drawings, spreadsheets, product documents, images or other sourcing-related material.

Limited technical and security information generated by our website infrastructure, such as request logs, browser or device information, IP-related security data and error information.

02

How we use information

We use information only where it is reasonably connected to operating IndusRhine, responding to you or providing sourcing support.

To review and respond to sourcing enquiries and determine whether a requirement is suitable for an IndusRhine engagement.

To communicate with you about your enquiry, sourcing project or requested services.

To research, assess and compare potential manufacturers where you have engaged IndusRhine to support a sourcing requirement.

To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and our internal business processes.

03

Sourcing documents and confidential business material

We recognise that sourcing briefs can contain commercially sensitive information. Documents submitted through the website are therefore treated differently from ordinary marketing enquiries.

Uploaded sourcing files are stored in private, access-controlled storage rather than being made publicly accessible.

We use submitted files only for purposes reasonably connected to evaluating or carrying out the relevant sourcing request.

Where information needs to be shared with a potential supplier, we aim to share only what is reasonably necessary for the sourcing process and in accordance with the agreed engagement.

You should only submit information that you are authorised to provide to IndusRhine. Extremely sensitive trade secrets should not be uploaded unless they are necessary for the engagement and appropriate confidentiality arrangements are in place.

04

Who we may share information with

IndusRhine does not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, support a sourcing engagement or meet a legal obligation.

Technology and infrastructure providers that host, secure or operate parts of our website, database, communications or private file storage.

Professional advisers, contractors or service providers where access is necessary for a legitimate business purpose and subject to appropriate confidentiality expectations.

Potential manufacturers or sourcing counterparties where sharing relevant information is necessary for a sourcing project and consistent with the engagement.

Government, regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

05

International processing

IndusRhine connects India and Europe, so some information may be accessed or processed across national borders.

Our primary sourcing-request database and private document storage are currently configured within European infrastructure.

Information may also be accessed from India where necessary for IndusRhine's sourcing and business operations.

Our service providers may process technical or operational information in additional jurisdictions according to their infrastructure and contractual arrangements.

Where applicable privacy law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use appropriate legal and organisational measures.

06

How long we keep information

We do not intend to retain personal information indefinitely. Retention depends on the nature of the relationship, the sourcing project and any legal or operational requirements.

Sourcing enquiries, correspondence and project information may be retained while the enquiry or commercial relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Uploaded documents may be retained for as long as necessary to evaluate or support the relevant sourcing project and associated follow-up.

Some records may be retained longer where required for legal, tax, contractual, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymise or securely archive it in accordance with our operational and legal requirements.

07

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you are located and which privacy law applies, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

You may request access to personal information that IndusRhine holds about you and ask us to correct inaccurate information.

Where applicable, you may request deletion, restriction of processing, data portability or object to certain uses of your information.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

European users may also have the right to raise a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for their jurisdiction.

08

Cookies, analytics and website technology

IndusRhine aims to keep website tracking proportionate to what is needed to operate and improve the service.

The website may use essential technical mechanisms needed for security, localisation, navigation or other core website functions.

We do not use this Privacy Policy as permission to sell browsing behaviour or personal information to advertisers.

If optional analytics, marketing cookies or similar tracking technologies are introduced, we will update our disclosures and implement consent controls where required.

Infrastructure providers may generate server and security logs as part of delivering and protecting the website.

Before uploading

Treat sourcing documents as business-confidential material.

Upload only information relevant to the sourcing request and that your organisation is authorised to share.
